Los profesores Mercedes Alda y Juan A. Ramos participaron en la INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE organizada por la Nagasaki University, STAR Research Platform for Collective Survival in the Anthropocene (NURECSA), University of Canterbury, Macmillan Brown Center for Pacific Studies (MBC), Zayed University, Institute for Islamic World Studies (IIWS) en colaboración con la International Political Science Association Research Committee on Security, Conflict and Democratization (RC44) y el Research Committee on Climate Security and Planetary Politics (RC52).
La Conferencia fue dedicado al tema de: Dynamics of Climate Change and Climate Insecurities: Perspectives from the Global South and Beyond, y se desarrolló en modalidad híbrida (presencial en la Nagasaki University y online) el 20 de septiembre de 2023.
Los profesores presentaron la ponencia Involvement of Spanish local governments in transnational climate and energy networks en la sesión 3: Populism, News Media, Local Struggles and Conflict-prone Impacts of Climate Change.
